IC24
IC24 has been at the forefront of Primary Care service provision and innovation since the early 1990’s. We’ve grown from a small group of GP co-operatives to a social enterprise organisation serving over six million patients. We currently deliver the following services:

- NHS 111 and CAS service in Kent and Sussex (via subcontract with South East Coast Ambulance Service)
- National Paediatric Clinical Assessment Service
- Primary Care services - Sussex
- Primary Care Hub – Hastings
- Home visiting services – Sussex
- Roving GP – Brighton and Hove
- Overnight District Nursing – Brighton and Hove
- GP support in Emergency departments – Sussex and Essex
Our purpose is to provide responsive, safe, high quality urgent health care to ensure our patients live their lives to the full. We place a strong ethos on creating an inclusive and supportive working environment for our people to in turn help them provide the best possible service to our patients when they contact us for help.
To support our inclusion agenda we have created four colleague resource groups to help people feel supported in the workplace. Over the past year these groups have achieved successes including creating menopause support groups; developing an anti-racism charter; and working with charities to form partnerships that support disabled people into work. In 2021 we were named in the list of the Top 100 employers in the South East.
We are innovative in our approach to using technology. In 2022 we were finalists in the HSJ Partnership Awards for our industry-leading approach to the use of speech analytics in the NHS 111 service. Through our decades of experience in providing urgent care services, our subsidiary, CLEO Systems, is leading digital transformation in urgent, emergency and outpatient care through the development of innovative clinical systems for use within the health service.
We are proud of our status as a social enterprise, and were the first organisation to be accredited with the Social Enterprise Gold Mark; an accolade which we are independently assessed for every three years. We invest in our people through vocational learning and development opportunities in the knowledge that the skills we support them to learn will support patients and the wider health service, wherever they choose to continue their career in the future.
In line with IC24’s Strategic Plan to strengthen our Primary Care service offering we are in the process of mobilising three GMS contracts covering 13,000 patients across Sussex. Our service model provides innovative and bespoke solutions to each practice to suit the primary care needs of the patients. Our approach has been informed by the Fuller report and our experience and knowledge of providing Integrated Urgent Care Services to focus on access and patient outcome.
